Words Can Fly a Thousand Miles is a project whose aim is to provide aid and support to people in Fukushima, Japan suffering from the aftermath of the natural disasters and nuclear plant crisis that occurred in March.

A paper sculpture installation was created and set up where donations were solicited. Visitors were also encouraged to compose handwritten messages to console and encourage people in Fukushima which, along with the donations, were sent to Fukushima volunteer centres.

The project was realized with the help of Surface3 Design Office.
